Nice addition to anyone's Robot collection but no sound and light FX
This is basically a vinyl figure of the classic robot from Forbidden Planet with some injection plastic details. If it was licensed and produced by an American Toy company it would probably cost about half as much. I'm glad I bought it because it looks awesome towering behind my other Robby figures in the display case. My biggest complaint about this is that Amazon incorrectly described the features in the product description saying that it has sound and light FX from the film. It doesn't. I think an earlier version of this toy, which also included a figure that represented the 'actor' inside the 'suit' may have had those but this version does not. Other than that it's a nice addition to anyone's collection if you have the scratch.
Great detail but needs more
Very pricey and decent detail, but very pricey for this iconic robot. If you're a collector of the classics, this is a nice piece to own, but I would have liked lights and sounds for the price (I knew it didn't come with it, but trying to make a point). If you're not a fan of Forbidden Planet, then pass. If you like classic Sci-Fi, this is a good addition but just expensive without a lot of bells and whistles.

Nice, but not worth the price. It's basically a hollow rubber (vinyl) figurine. I've seen much more detailed and posable figures costing far less. To it's credit, it is proportionately accurate; as are the details. But, it has very little articulation and has no lights or sounds. In my opinion, this item shouldn't cost more than $50. Who knows; maybe MGM's licensing fees are high and X-Plus is just passing it on to their customers. (?)
