This set is a great addition to any science collection (currently, mine includes these guys, some plush microbes, Bunsen & Beaker, a wall-sized periodic table, and more). The back of the package includes descriptions of each scientist, so if you keep that part, they can be educational as well. Overall, a great product...I hope they make more (e.g., Niels Bohr, Galileo, Watson & Crick, etc.)
Inspirational
I bought these figurines and have them on the self behind me in my home office. I truly find them inspirational and a great conversation piece with my three boys. They look quirky, kind of funny and this also helps to make the subject, science, more fun!

Great as a decoration or as a toy
I am a big fan of the Little Giants figures. Mine are displayed on my bookshelf and people comment on them often. Also my small children like to play with them and my 2yr old now knows all of their names which is great, and they've held up perfectly well from being played with. I don't know why they are so expensive here though - you can go to Jailbreak Toys' website and get them for 7 bucks apiece.
