I assume the body is a typical Hot Toys female body and most of it is covered in her suit but what is visible looks really good. The face really does look a lot like Scarlett. I wish they'd been able to go with less of a blank expression though. There is plenty of detail. The hair is rooted red hair and while it makes her feel a bit more doll like I think it looks good. They have added hair product to it and advise that you can do the same to keep it from becoming a tangled mop and to look how you want...
Good, not great, Black Widow collectible figure
I only heard about Hot Toys last year with their Watchmen line of figures - after seeing the amazing quality, I had to have one.
The thing that makes 'Hot Toys' figures special, are the amount of detail put into them. These aren't your typical action figures with "sort of looks like" representations, solid plastic clothing and ugly joints at articulation points.. these are done to be very realistic looking.. hand-painted pieces, fully-articulating bodies with real accessories, actual clothing, and accurately representing the actual character. These are figures any movie collector would be proud to display.
The downside to all of this, is the high cost (about 150 bucks, but these prices tend to go up once they sell through (they're limited edition and not found in your typical brick-and-mortar store)). Is it worth it? Depends. While I do like it, it isn't perfect.
