The Best of Koto's Wolverine Busts
The first two Wolverine busts from Kotobukiya didn't really catch my eye, but this one did thanks to the costume and the more dynamic sculpt. For the most part, I was pleased with the end product. The sculpt really is miles above the previous two, and it looks pretty cool from any angle. The facial region is a little too sleek and anime-influenced for my liking, but that's about the only complaint I have. The build quality is also nice. Koto seems to use a heavier material for these busts than they do for their Fine Arts statues. I'm not sure if it's cast in polystone, but it's definitely stronger than PVC. The claws are actual metal, which eliminates the problem of flimsy claws most Wolverine statues and figures have. The bust is also bigger than the ones you generally see from companies like Bowen and DC Direct. In the case of those latter companies, I'm usually turned away from their busts because they're just too tiny - not really any larger than your average action figure...
