Outstanding work, but.....
I would give these Hot-Toys Terminator Salvation collectible statues ( I say statues with good reason ) 5 out of 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that they are way to fragile for the price tag. I purchased and own the T-600 Endo, T-600 weathered rubber mask version and T-700 for my collection. I placed all 3 for display in my very own curio cabinet. Granted I am not trying to play with them, they ARE NOT toys to messed with at all in the least. I took me several hours for both T-600's just to attach their weapons and ammo packs and then get them in the proper stance or pose that I wanted to display them in. The real challenge with both T-600's was having to pull off each individual hand from the forearm to attach their gatling gun and grenade launcher weapons. I busted the right pinky finger off of the T-600 Endo when attempting to slide the gun in place and had to superglue it back on. Then busted one of the forearm tendons that attach to the left hand on the T-600 weathered version...
Intimidating but fragile
This guy is meant only for display purposes. While he is very extremely flexible with working pistons and limbs, head, jaw, etc, you must take extreme care in posing him the way you want. It is advisable to have Testors modeling glue nearby to repair any possible small damages made as I popped one of his fingers off while attaching the gatling gun.
His weakness aside, this is by far the most imposing and striking 'toy' I've ever seen. While I'd previously thought my McFarlane Deluxe Sentinel was an excellent piece, this one has far surpassed it in so many ways. I am a HUGE Terminator fan and have been for 20 years and this is the toy I've always wanted. I have it sitting on top of the shelves where I keep my dvd/bluray collection and it makes a nice decorative accent to my film collection along with various other robotic characters I've collected. Do not let the fragile elements of this figure deter you from adding it to your collection - I find myself constantly changing...
Hot Toys continues to impress!
I've purchased several movie figures from the Hot Toys company and they've all been awesome. Extremely detailed, articulated and accurate. The T-600 Terminator is a great example. If I have one complaint, it's that the model is somewhat top-heavy and the stand does not accommodate this well so the toy will pitch forward if not very carefully positioned. Otherwise, great!
