underwhelming for the price, but the best Harley design
I haven't written many reviews, but after my disappointment and then seeing all the high ratings here, I felt inclined to bring some balance and objectivity to the mix...One reviewer said they had to do a paint touch-up, yet gave a 5-star rating!
Maybe I got a bad batch, but I was immediately disappointed upon opening this. Unlike what others have stated, the quality and detail is lacking in my opinion, especially compared to that of the stock photo--it's not just the one I got, but also as seen in the few pics of the actual opened product currently posted online.
I own a number of figures and their quality and detail are much better than this. I would say this figure should fall in the $60 price range--though even some $60 retail figures I own look nicer and they were made years ago. Then again, I am not an avid collector, so perhaps I am ignorant of some underlying (non-presentation) value/benefit (e.g. durability, artistry) in the type of materials used in...
Incredible Detail & Sculpt
I recently purchased this statue through my LCS, however I wanted to share what an impressive addition to your collection that this statue would make.
I collect the Batman Black & White series and this is the first statue (other than the Batman "Hush" statue by ArtFX) that I have added to my collection. The detail and paint job is exceptional and Harley's pose is...well, sexy. ;)
It is a very tall statue made from cold cast porcelain (like the Black & White series) that immediately attracts attention the moment people see it. When I posted pictures of her online, friends who aren't even Batman fans immediately wanted to know where I got it and how they could get one too. Everything from the detail of her hip tattoo, to the small chain attached at her waist, reveal what a top-notch collector's item this is.
The sculpt is specifically based on the Arkham Asylum / City video game series and I understand that DC will be releasing more statues based on that...
Good statue....but on the small side.
I just received this piece today. Overall impression was that it was good quality, but much smaller than what I was anticipating. It is about 9 inches, a little smaller than 1/6th scale. I was expecting it to be on the same scale as the Harley Quinn maquette, but it just towers over her (the top of her head just reaches the shoulder of the maquette). Don't get me wrong, it is a good piece, but it is becoming overpriced on aftermarkets like amazon.
