Due to the price I would not recommend him as a child's toy, but as a toy for the inner child of those who delight in collecting anime figures.
Oh yes, I took him out of the box to put him out on display. He stands quite well on his own two feet, is nicely articulated and comes with an interchangeable set of gloved and bare hands as well as a "sword" you cant put in place of his right hand. His clothing is nicely detailed and well sewn. Quite frankly I'm inclined to look upon this particular figure as a Doll instead of a mere action figure.

I purchased this action figure for my daughter, who is a huge FMA and "Edward" fan, and she absolutely loves it! The figure is pricey $$$$, but worth it!
