Darth Vader Tebows
I think it is wonderful to see how Tebow's witness to Jesus has touched even Darth Vader. True, he is Tebowing to the Dark Side, which I suppose if you want to be technical about it is kind of the opposite of the Jesus stuff, but still. It's wonderful to see. And in any case, if he'd been Tebowing to the Force, well, it's likely that the Death Star would NOT have blown up, and maybe MORE planets would have been blown up and billions of MORE people would have died, and probably Leia and Han would not have ended up together which would have really been a pity as I was totally rooting for them, especially once I realized Luke and Leia were siblings. I guess though if he were a good guy he wouldn't be Tebowing for evil though, so maybe none of those things would have happened anyway. I don't know. My head hurts.
I should also add that this statue is VERY sturdy and has accompanied me to many prayer circles and marches for life and looks as shiny new as the day we bought it...

One of the best Vader statues around
Last year I made the switch from collecting Star Wars figures to higher-end statues. I wanted a good representation of Darth Vader, and this was the one piece that really spoke to me. There are plenty of statues and dioramas depicting Vader looming menacingly or whatever, but this one speaks to the tragedy of the character and tells more of a story in its pose.
I had already picked up the Asajj Ventress an Count Dooku statue a few months ago, and I was impressed enough with the quality of that piece to feel comfortable buying this one. I wasn't disappointed either. Sideshow sees to be the first and last word when it comes to really fancy and detailed collectibles, but Gentle Giant really gives them a run for their money when it comes to Star Wars. Vader isn't as tall as the Asajj/Dooku piece, but only because he's in a kneeling position. Were he standing at this scale he'd probably measure a good 18 inches.
