Most accurate G1 Optimus Prime thus far.
First off, this is my first Takara Masterpiece purchase, but I have seen and have had hands-on with most of the other MP's such as Grimlock, Megatron, Starscream and the first MP Optimus. I've held back from buying them, but once this was released, I absolutely had to get it. Just from first glance it looks great, buy far the most G1 cartoon accurate. Most of the review will be a comparision to MP1 since that was, and still is to some, the standard until this was released.
Pros:
- Looks great especially the head mold and altmode. The cabin in truck mode looks great and only the original G1 prime can compare. Alt mode is also tightly packed and has lots of little slots and rectangular pegs to help with positioning of the parts.
- Slightly smaller than MP1 by about 2 inches, which makes it easier to manipulate and display.
- Cleaner, more polished look than MP1, with more rounded edges, more consistent red pieces and not a piecemeal with blacks and...

well package , arrived sooner then told and the detail on this "masterpiece" is amazing to say the least! took me back twenty five years, yes I'm 37 and buying these for my son ( he gets them when I die,lol ) Overall a must has for any transformer collection, two thumds up!!
